Baseball is a game of inches or just one play and game 5 lived true to that. In a rematch of the starting pitchers from game 1, the hope of a pitching duel finally came true between Adam Wainwright and Jon Lester. Yet once again Jon Lester out dueled Wainwright. The game was tied at 1 going into the 7th inning when 1 double from catcher David Ross scored 2 runs to put Boston up 3-1. Again, that was all the Red Sox needed as Koji Uehara closed the door on the Cardinals in the 9th inning to put the Sox’ up 3-2 in the series. The Red Sox look to close out the Cardinals and win their first World series at Fenway Park in almost a 100 years.
